BJP leader Shazia Ilmi has criticized the speculated AAP-Congress alliance for the upcoming Haryana elections, asserting that it showcases Congress's fear and lack of confidence. 'Congress doesn't trust their candidates,' Ilmi remarked, emphasizing the need for an alliance with their competitor in Punjab, the AAP.
Ilmi also commented on the recent political moves of former Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat, who joined Congress, highlighting that her statements indicate a one-sided political stance. She further suggested that Phogat should have called for support for Abhaya, a victim of rape and murder, to truly demonstrate her commitment to women's issues across party lines.
Addressing Bajrang Punia's remarks on Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, Ilmi stated that the CM would decide his own electoral strategies and criticized Punia for his statements, considering his wrestling background. Punia had challenged the CM to contest from Julana ahead of the Haryana Assembly elections in October.
