The Congress unveiled nine candidates for the Haryana Assembly polls on Sunday, featuring Brijendra Singh for Uchana Kalan and Mohit Grover for Gurugram.

This list brings the Congress's declared candidates to 41 for the 90-seat assembly.

Among the candidates are Ashok Arora from Thanesar, Kuldeep Sharma from Ganaur, Paramvir Singh from Tohana, Anirudh Chaudhary from Tosham, Balram Dangi from Meham, Manju Choudhary from Nangal Chaudhary, and Vardhan Yadav from Badshahpur.

Earlier, the Congress named 32 candidates, including former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda from Garhi Sampla-Kiloi, state unit chief Udai Bhan from Hodal, and wrestler Vinesh Phogat from Julana.

The party also listed Balbir Singh from Israna, renominating all its 28 MLAs.

Mewa Singh from Ladwa will contend with Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. Discussions with AAP for seat-sharing continue, though some Congress members are wary of this alliance.

The Haryana Assembly elections are slated for October 5, with vote tallying on October 8.
