Home Minister Amit Shah, on Saturday, dismissed the opposition's attempts to revive the autonomy plank during the Jammu and Kashmir assembly polls, urging the NC-Congress alliance to stop misleading people by promising statehood, stating only the Centre can restore it.
Speaking at a BJP workers' rally in Ploura, Shah assured that Jammu would decide the formation of the next government, highlighting that the era of outsiders deciding J&K's fate is over. He accused the opposition of attempting to revive the 'old system' and pushing the region towards terrorism and corruption.
The upcoming elections in Jammu and Kashmir, Shah noted, are historic as they are conducted under a single national flag following the abrogation of Article 370. He accused the NC-Congress alliance of fostering confusion, citing BJP's reduction of terrorism and promotion of regional development as major achievements.
