Union Minister JP Nadda inaugurated the super-speciality block of Shri Krishna Medical College and Hospital in Muzaffarpur on Saturday, asserting that residents will no longer need to travel to Patna or Delhi for cardiology and nephrology services, among others.

While addressing the public, Nadda said, "A world-class, state-of-the-art super-speciality block is being built. This expansion will increase the total number of beds in the hospital to 1205, ensuring that services for vascular surgery, neurology, and neurosurgery are readily available in Muzaffarpur. Additionally, these facilities will also be accessible in Darbhanga, Bhagalpur, Gaya, and Patna."

Nadda further highlighted the growth of medical education in Bihar, stating, "Did you ever imagine that medical colleges would be established in places like Purnia, Jamui, and Saran? Today, eight new medical colleges are being opened, bringing the total to 35 in the state." He credited Prime Minister Modi's leadership and the power of informed voting for these advancements.

The Union Minister also praised India's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, noting, "Even a country like America struggled, but under PM Modi's leadership, India developed two vaccines and executed the world's largest vaccination program. We even provided free vaccines to 48 nations." He emphasized that India's economic standing has significantly improved, stating, "India, once the 11th largest economy, now stands strong among global powers despite crises in major economies like the U.S., Russia, and Japan."
