Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena is preparing to launch a significant campaign called 'Ladki Bahin Kutumb Bhet Abhiyaan', aimed at engaging with one crore women. This move precedes the upcoming state assembly elections, anticipated in October-November, according to party leader Sanjay Nirupam.
The campaign, strategically targeting 70 to 80 assembly constituencies, will see 50,000 party workers reaching out to ten women each in their areas. This initiative is the brainchild of Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde and aims to ensure the continued implementation of the state government's Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, he added.
Every weekend, party workers will visit homes to connect with five lakh women daily, aiming to reach 60 lakh women by the month's end. A specially developed mobile app with geo-tracking features will monitor progress and record interactions, also facilitating on-spot registrations if necessary. Feedback from women beneficiaries will be collected through the app.
