Prime Minister Narendra Modi held crucial talks with his Singaporean counterpart, Lawrence Wong, on Thursday to strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations.

Modi is on a two-day official visit to Singapore following an invitation extended by Wong. The visit underscores the importance of the relationship between the two countries.

Before the talks, Modi was given a ceremonial reception at the Singapore Parliament House and signed the visitor's book. This meeting comes shortly after Wong assumed office as premier and Modi began his third term as India's prime minister. Later, Modi will also meet with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam.
