Union Minister Piyush Goyal asserted that all three major constituents of the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) are eager to secure the Maharashtra Chief Minister's post. These remarks come amid reports suggesting that MVA allies—Congress, NCP (SP), and Shiv Sena (UBT)—are leaning toward allotting the post to the party winning the most seats in the upcoming assembly elections.
Goyal shared his observations with reporters, emphasizing that it is an internal matter for the MVA to resolve. 'All three constituents are in the race for the top post... It is their internal matter,' he stated.
The BJP MP denied allegations that development in his North Mumbai constituency has been stalled due to the extended period without civic elections and the current administrative status of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation under an overseer. 'North Mumbai's development has not been delayed because there is an administrator at the BMC,' he clarified.
