BJP to Announce First List of Haryana Assembly Election Candidates

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) plans to release its initial list of candidates for at least 50 seats on Wednesday for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections. The decision followed crucial meetings attended by prominent party leaders, ensuring pre-election preparations are in full swing.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to unveil the first list of candidates for at least 50 seats in the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections on Wednesday. Party sources confirmed that the announcement is imminent, with the initial list focusing on a significant number of seats.

"We will release the first list tomorrow, which will cover the maximum number of seats. Although discussions on all seats have been concluded, we will initially disclose around 50 candidates, with the remaining names to be announced later," a source stated. Earlier in the day, a critical meeting took place at 7:30 pm at former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar's residence in Delhi. The meeting was attended by BJP Haryana Election Incharge Dharmendra Pradhan, Election Co-incharge Biplab Dev, State Incharge Satish Punia, and State Co-incharge Surender Nagar, among others.

On September 2, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, BJP Haryana Election Incharge Dharmendra Pradhan, Election Co-incharge Biplab Dev, State Incharge Satish Punia, State Co-incharge Surender Nagar, and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar convened to discuss candidate selections thoroughly. Voting for Haryana's 90-member legislative assembly is scheduled for October 5, with the last date for filing nominations being September 12. Vote counting will occur on October 8.

On August 31, the Election Commission of India (ECI) revised the polling day for the Haryana Assembly elections from October 1 to October 5 and rescheduled the counting of votes for both Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana assemblies from October 4 to October 8. (ANI)
