Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang met with Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati to discuss a range of mutual interests and regional development strategies, according to a statement from the Assam Chief Minister's Office (CMO).

'Hon'ble Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri @PSTamangGolay called upon HCM Dr @himantabiswa at Lok Sewa Bhawan today. They discussed a wide range of issues concerning mutual interests of both the sister States and their shared growth in the NE region,' the CMO said in a post on X.

Sarma shared his delight at meeting Tamang, congratulating him on his recent electoral victory and expressing gratitude for the artwork and gifts received. Tamang also emphasized the importance of enhancing connectivity between Sikkim and Assam as part of their discussions.
