Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has made it clear that the BJP's parliamentary board makes the final decision on election candidacy. This statement comes in response to Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli, who suggested Saini might run from Ladwa in the upcoming Assembly polls.
Speaking to reporters, Saini stressed, "I am the MLA from Karnal...BJP parliamentary board will decide from where I have to contest. No one, no matter how big, can claim he will fight from a particular seat. I am a chief minister, even I cannot claim from where I will fight." His remarks followed Badoli's public assertion that the CM would be a candidate from Ladwa.
The chief minister also took the opportunity to criticize Congress, accusing the party of spreading lies and making unfulfilled promises. Saini stated that BJP has consistently worked on development in Haryana over the past ten years, contrasting this with what he described as a "full stop" on progress during Congress rule.
