Mann's comments surfaced on Thursday when he was asked to share his thoughts on an interview given by Ranaut. The actor-politician had suggested that India could have faced a 'Bangladesh-like situation' without strong leadership during the farmers' protest, alleging instances of rapes and hangings.

Mann, who has previously served as an IPS official and is an advocate for Khalistan, was attending a party event in Karnal ahead of the Haryana Assembly polls, scheduled for October 1.
