Mayawati Re-Elected as BSP National President
Mayawati was unanimously re-elected as the national president of the BSP during a special meeting of the BSP Central Executive Committee and senior party officials. Mayawati was unanimously re-elected as the national president of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), the party announced on Tuesday.
The decision was made during a special meeting of the BSP Central Executive Committee (CEC) and senior national-level office bearers, along with state party units and representatives chosen from across the nation, according to the party.
Mayawati, 68, has served as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh four times. Kanshi Ram, the founder of the BSP, had named her as his political successor more than two decades ago.
