Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath underscored the vast cultural and spiritual significance of the forthcoming Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, poised to be more spectacular than prior gatherings. "The Maha Kumbh Mela is shaping up magnificently. Preparations are underway on a war footing, embodying the enthusiasm of the people," the Chief Minister stated.
Scheduled to occur in Prayagraj from January 13 to February 26, 2025, the Maha Kumbh Mela's infrastructure includes nearly 30 pontoon bridges, a 12 km temporary ghat, and over one and a half lakh tents. Highlighting global interest, CM Yogi's anticipations reflect India's eager reception for this major event, unfolding after a 144-year interval.
The Chief Minister marked his fifth December visit to review the event's preparations, including inaugurating a Bio-CNG plant and inspecting key locations like Sangam Erawat Ghat. Additionally, dignitaries such as the President and Vice President have been invited to the grand festival, where significant security measures, including underwater drones, will be employed.
