The Congress party has vocally condemned BJP MP Kangana Ranaut's comments on the farmers' agitation. Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, called the remarks 'shameful' and a 'grave insult' to farmers across western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, and the entire country.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also criticized the remarks, describing them as reflective of the 'anti-farmer ideology' of the Modi government. The opposition party argued that if BJP disagrees with these comments, they should expel Ranaut from their ranks.
