Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, usually a prominent campaigner in state elections, has been entrusted with only two out of ten assembly seats for the impending bypolls. This decision has sparked controversy and allegations from SP leader Awadhesh Prasad, who views it as an effort by the BJP leadership to diminish the CM's stature.

Prasad claims that Adityanath's assignment to Milkipur and Katehari seats is a deliberate strategy by the BJP, knowing they would likely face defeat there. The Ayodhya MP accuses the party of planning against Adityanath, suggesting a broader conspiracy orchestrated by BJP leaders in Delhi.

Asserting the dominant support for the Opposition, Prasad emphasized that the upcoming bypolls are viewed as a litmus test on a national scale. He argued that voters have rejected religion-based politics, advocating instead for a focus on brotherhood and constitutional values in the political landscape.
