In a historic diplomatic mission, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Ukraine on Friday for a landmark visit, the first by an Indian premier. His seven-hour trip comes at a crucial time, as Kyiv has launched a fresh military offensive into Russian territory.
Modi's agenda includes both one-on-one and delegation-level talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to negotiate a peaceful settlement to the ongoing conflict. 'PM @narendramodi arrived in Kyiv this morning on a landmark official visit,' Randhir Jaiswal, Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson, announced.
The prime minister traveled from Poland to Ukraine on a 'Rail Force One' train, marking the second and final leg of his diplomatic tour. His visit follows a recent meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, emphasizing dialogue and diplomacy.
