The Delhi Congress announced plans to stage a demonstration in response to the allegations made by Hindenburg Research against SEBI chief Madhabi Buch. They are calling for her removal and the formation of a joint parliamentary committee (JPC) to investigate the Adani issue.
The protest is scheduled at Jantar Mantar on Thursday. Addressing a press conference, Delhi Congress chief Devender Yadav and spokesperson Supriya Shrinate emphasized the necessity of a JPC for an impartial investigation.
The Congress party revealed plans for 20 press conferences nationwide on Wednesday to stress the need for this probe, citing its broad economic repercussions. The opposition intensified its attack on the government following Hindenburg's allegations against Buch and her financial ties. Both Buch and the Adani Group have denied any wrongdoing.
