BJP leader Kiran Choudhry filed her nomination for the Rajya Sabha bypoll from Haryana on Wednesday, with support from some JJP rebel MLAs.
Notable figures including Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and state BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli were present when Choudhry submitted her papers.
Choudhry, who switched from Congress nearly two months ago, is likely to enter the Upper House unopposed as the opposition has not fielded a candidate.
