The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Congress, and Rashtriya Janata Dal have declared their support for Wednesday's Bharat Bandh, called by various organizations in response to the recent Supreme Court verdict on Scheduled Caste (SC) reservations.
Left parties have also joined the call for the strike, with JMM urging all its leaders and coordinators to actively participate in the 14-hour nationwide protest.
JMM General Secretary Vinod Kumar Pandey stated, "The Supreme Court's verdict on the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe reservations will obstruct the progress and empowerment of SC/ST communities."
RJD State General Secretary Kailash Yadav and State Congress Spokesperson Rakesh Sinha confirmed their parties' support for the nationwide strike.
The Bharat Bandh has been prompted by Dalit and Adivasi organizations demanding stronger representation and protection for marginalized communities following the National Confederation of Dalit and Adivasi Organizations' opposition to the recent Supreme Court ruling.
