Law and Order Restored in Jainoor After Adivasi Clashes

The law and order situation is under control in Jainoor after violent clashes over the alleged sexual assault and attempted murder of an Adivasi woman, the Telangana CMO reported. One accused was arrested in connection to the assault in Jainoor Mandal of the KB Asifabad District.
An Adivasi organizations' bandh on Wednesday, including Tudum Dibba, led to property vandalism and retaliation, resulting in arson and stone-pelting. The first responder, SP KB Asifabad, was joined by additional forces from neighboring districts, deploying over 1000 police personnel to contain the violence.
The Telangana CMO announced the deployment of RAF and the constant monitoring by senior law enforcement officials. Prohibitory curfew orders were issued, and an internet ban was enforced to prevent rumors and fake news. Special teams are investigating the violence, and the government will assess property damage for compensation.
The Telangana CMO confirmed that the accused in the alleged assault has been arrested and remanded. The victim is receiving medical care at Gandhi Hospital, with the administration covering expenses and providing compensation. The police appealed for restraint and cautioned against the spread of baseless social media posts, with warnings of penal action.
SP Asifabad engaged with community elders to maintain peace, stressing the importance of not believing rumors. Citizens were assured that the situation is under control and were instructed to Dial 100 in emergencies. The CMO reiterated the government's commitment to upholding law and order.
