In a startling revelation, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has accused the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government of hatching a conspiracy to arrest him and former CM Devendra Fadnavis. According to Shinde, this plan aimed to weaken the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) politically. In an exclusive interview with ANI, he discussed the allegations made by IPS officer Paramveer Singh that the MVA leadership under CM Uddhav Thackeray and then Home Minister Anil Deshmukh orchestrated this plot. "I felt deeply troubled by their plans," Shinde commented.

Shinde further criticized Deshmukh for denying him Z plus security despite threats from Naxalites. He recounted how, as Urban Development Minister, he approved resolutions for Gadchiroli's development, which led to death threats from Naxalites. "All intelligence and security agencies recommended Z plus security, but the Home Minister denied it," Shinde said, emphasizing his resilience by stating that he was not afraid and declined unofficial security offers.

Shinde also highlighted interference from Thackeray's family members during his tenure as Urban Development, Public Works, and State Border Defence Minister. He shared that despite his complaints, Thackeray's behavior grew increasingly erratic. Addressing competition with Thackeray, Shinde asserted that effective governance requires face-to-face interaction with citizens, not social media engagements. He stressed his administration's commitment to completing stalled development projects like Samruddhi Mahamarg and Atal Setu.
