Responding to reporters at the White House, Biden confirmed his stance, saying, "I do." He did not provide additional details, and no further information was available from the White House regarding his brief remark.
Earlier in the day, Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado dismissed a proposal from Brazil's president for Venezuela to conduct a new presidential election after last month's disputed results.
