NCP (SP) leader Jayant Patil on Friday forecasted a major victory for the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in the imminent Maharashtra assembly elections, predicting over 170 seats in the 288-member assembly.
Addressing the 'Shiv Swarajya Yatra' in Junnar and Manchar in Pune district, Patil launched a scathing attack on the ruling alliance, accusing them of betrayal and deceit.
Patil, leading the state unit of the Sharad Pawar-headed NCP (SP), noted that 70% of MVA's candidates will be fresh faces, and emphasized the alliance's commitment to long-term welfare schemes and effective governance.
