Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed confidence on Wednesday that the Governor would dismiss a petition seeking prosecution against him in connection with the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment 'scam'. Siddaramaiah maintains that all actions were legal and constitutional.

The Chief Minister alleged that the opposition BJP and JD(S) are attempting to destabilize his pro-people government by making false accusations. He asserted that 'truth always triumphs' and believes that the Governor, as the constitutional head, will act according to the law.

The petition, filed by advocate-activist T J Abraham, led to a show-cause notice issued by the Governor, which the Karnataka government has advised withdrawing. The opposition's campaign, including a foot march, targets Siddaramaiah over alleged fraudulent land allotments to his wife.
