In a strategic move following a poor Lok Sabha election result, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has instructed party functionaries from the Baramati assembly constituency to submit their resignations. This directive aims to enable a comprehensive reorganization of the local party structure.

Pawar's decision comes in the wake of his wife, Sunetra, losing the Lok Sabha seat from Baramati to the sitting MP Supriya Sule. Addressing party members at an event in Baramati, Pawar highlighted several deficiencies identified during the election campaign, particularly at the booth level.

'We were found lacking in several booths within the Baramati assembly segment,' said Pawar. 'Given this situation, it's essential to reconfigure the booth committees. I will oversee these changes and decide on re-appointments accordingly.'
