A senior JD(U) leader and key aide of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Ashok Choudhary, has fiercely criticized Opposition Leader Tejashwi Yadav over his planned state-wide tour to showcase the NDA government's alleged failures.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Choudhary attacked Yadav a day after the RJD leader announced the yatra from August 15. Choudhary debunked Yadav's claims regarding the Nitish Kumar government's commitment to reservation for deprived castes, special status for Bihar, and the state's crime rates.

The minister, a Dalit and former Congress member, also criticized Yadav for his party's past failure to provide SC/ST reservations in panchayats and underscored the progress Bihar has made under Nitish Kumar's leadership, including rapid economic growth and improved law and order.
