Supreme Court Seeks Response on RJD Leader's Disqualification
The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Bihar Legislative Council seeking a response on RJD leader Ram Bali Singh's plea challenging his disqualification as an MLC. Singh, who was disqualified for alleged anti-party activities, had previously had his plea dismissed by the Patna High Court.

The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Bihar Legislative Council regarding RJD leader Ram Bali Singh's plea against his disqualification as a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC).
A bench comprising Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan has sought responses from the legislative council, its secretary, and the complainant, in relation to Singh's petition.
The matter is scheduled for hearing on October 25. Singh was disqualified on February 6, 2024, for making an objectionable statement against RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav.
