The opposition BJP and its ally JD(S) in Karnataka commenced a seven-day 'Mysuru Chalo' march from Bengaluru on Saturday, demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah over alleged involvement in a MUDA site allotment scam.

The march was launched by BJP state president B Y Vijayendra and JD(S) Youth Wing president Nikhil Kumaraswamy, and will culminate in a public meeting in Mysuru on August 10.

Veteran BJP leader B S Yediyurappa accused the CM of corruption, while leaders like R Ashoka and Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy criticized the Congress's handling of the issue. CM Siddaramaiah countered, calling BJP the 'grandfather of corruption'.
