In a startling allegation, Karnataka Congress MLA Ravikumar Gowda has accused the BJP of attempting to destabilize the Siddaramaiah-led government through 'Operation Kamala'. Gowda claims that BJP has now raised their offer to Rs 100 crore from Rs 50 crore to entice Congress legislators into defecting.
Speaking to the media, Gowda revealed that he was approached with the Rs 100 crore offer but dismissed it, asserting that the Congress government, led by a popular and pro-poor Chief Minister, is strong and unmoveable. He accused BJP national figures and Union Ministers of orchestrating the plot to fulfill promises made to PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.
Gowda, who earlier alleged similar attempts with offers of Rs 50 crore and ministerial positions, stated that Congress would provide evidence to enforcement agencies to expose the operation. He emphasized that no Congress MLAs would succumb to the BJP's tactics.
