Amid a controversy following the deaths of three UPSC aspirants in Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday accused the BJP-led Centre and the Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) of attempting to tarnish Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's governance.
Addressing a press conference, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh emphasized the gravity of the incident and highlighted the BJP's and LG's efforts to defame Kejriwal's government. He noted that the BJP, which previously ruled the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) for 15 years, took no significant measures to address the drainage system issues.
Singh cited ongoing attempts by AAP to address these problems, including meetings with Delhi cabinet ministers and calls for increased labor for drain desilting. He asserted that the BJP and LG have created a nexus to undermine AAP's governance. Kejriwal reassured Delhi residents of his government's commitment to fighting for their rights.
