The BJP and JD(S) in Karnataka are set to launch a weeklong march from Bengaluru to Mysuru starting August 3, aiming to highlight corruption scandals in the state. This includes the misappropriation of Rs 187 crore in the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribe Development Corporation.
The march, which will end on August 10, is being spearheaded by prominent figures such as former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, union ministers H D Kumaraswamy and Pralhad Joshi, and the Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Assembly, R Ashoka. Vijayendra, BJP state president, mentioned that central BJP leaders will also participate in the concluding ceremony.
The protest has been organized to draw attention to various scams that have plagued the state, including irregularities in the Mysuru Urban Development Corporation. The initiative underscores the combined efforts of BJP and JD(S) to hold the ruling Congress government accountable.
