Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar, formerly the Telangana BJP president, criticized the Congress-led state government for presenting a budget that lacks specifics on fund allocation for its six key guarantees. He questioned the clarity on how farmer losses would be managed.

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Ministry In-charge Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka presented a Rs 2.91 lakh crore state budget for 2024-25, with the total revenue expenditure set at Rs 2.21 lakh crore and capital expenditure at Rs 33,487 crore. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy asserted that the budget reflects realistic figures and not exaggerated numbers.

Bandi Sanjay Kumar, however, condemned the budget, terming it 'Gadida Guddu' (donkey's egg) for its vague fund allocation towards the six guarantees. He also raised concerns about the non-inclusion of schemes like Rythu Bharosa and questioned the allocation of Rs 33 crore solely for Ramzan celebrations without corresponding funds for Hindu festivals.

Pointing out the lack of clarity on government hiring claims and the Musi riverfront development, he criticized the state government's approach and accused them of misleading the public.
