Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav has publicly criticized the Uttar Pradesh government's digital attendance system implemented in state-run schools. Yadav accused the Yogi Adityanath administration of being out of touch with the common people's inconveniences.
In response to controversies surrounding the digital attendance system, the Uttar Pradesh government has created an expert committee chaired by the Chief Secretary to evaluate and address the issues and suggestions from teachers. The committee will comprise officials from the Education Department, Teachers' Union members, and educationists to submit a comprehensive report.
Pending the committee's findings, digital attendance has been suspended. Decisions will be based on the report provided by the committee. Key officials, including Additional Chief Secretary of Secondary Education Deepak Kumar and Director-General School Education Kanchan Verma, attended the meeting to address the situation.
