When asked about the possibility of Biden stepping aside, he added, 'That's his decision to make, but there are certainly more indications suggesting that would be in the best interests of the country.'

Biden, age 81, is currently facing calls from influential Democrats to leave the race following a shaky debate performance against former President Donald Trump. Hickenlooper acknowledged a sense of anguish among Democrats who admire Biden but believe he should not seek re-election. Despite Biden's high regard among constituents, Hickenlooper emphasized the growing dissatisfaction and unease, signaling a challenging landscape for uniting the party.
