Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has fiercely defended his administration against opposition claims of financial misconduct in a state-run corporation, stating he has a counter for every word of criticism. He rebuked BJP and JD(S) for their 'hit and run' strategies by spreading falsehoods through media. Siddaramaiah pledged to expose these allegations in the legislative assembly.

He emphasized that his administration won't be cowed by politically motivated criticisms and will shine a light on the opposition's accusations. The death of an accounts superintendent, Chandrashekhar P, by suicide has intensified the controversy, bringing to light an alleged Rs 88.62 crore illegal transfer to 'well-known' IT companies and a Hyderabad-based cooperative bank.

The discrepancy extends to the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), implicating Siddaramaiah's wife in fraudulent land allotments. Following the scandal, Scheduled Tribes Welfare Minister B Nagendra resigned and is under Enforcement Directorate custody. The opposition demands Siddaramaiah's resignation and a CBI inquiry, but his administration plans an internal probe led by Justice P N Desai.
