The Uttar Pradesh BJP on Sunday passed a resolution denouncing Rahul Gandhi's statement in the Lok Sabha, accusing Hindus of violence, hatred, and lies. The party asserted that Gandhi's criticism was an insult to all Hindus, suggesting that if he were in power, he would have banned the term 'Hindu'.

The BJP's resolution criticized the Samajwadi Party, an ally of Congress, for ostensibly supporting Dalits and backward communities while acting contrary when in power. The resolution recalled instances where SP was allegedly discrediting Dalit leaders like Baba Saheb Ambedkar and praised figures such as Chowdhury Charan Singh, Karpoori Thakur, and LK Advani.

The resolution also mourned the loss of 28 BJP leaders and lauded the party's performance in the Lok Sabha elections, calling it a 'blessing'.
