Ajit Prasad Eyed as Samajwadi Party Candidate for Milkipur in Upcoming Bypolls

Ajit Prasad, the son of Faizabad MP Awadhesh Prasad, is likely to be the Samajwadi Party candidate from Milkipur constituency in the upcoming assembly bypolls, according to senior party leaders.

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav recently convened a meeting with party leaders and workers from Ayodhya's Milkipur assembly constituency, where Ajit Prasad's candidacy was discussed. Though his name has been finalized, the official announcement is still pending.

Party MLA RK Singh noted that the meeting focused on preparations for the Milkipur seat, with necessary directions given to local leaders and office bearers. Singh affirmed the party's confidence in Ajit Prasad, citing the significant support received by his father Awadhesh Prasad in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. The bypoll schedule has yet to be announced by the Election Commission.
