In a significant political shift, INDIA bloc parties triumphed in 10 out of 13 assembly seats during the by-elections held earlier this week across seven states. Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra highlighted the BJP's waning influence, stating, "People are saying, 'Tumse na ho payega,' Prime Minister Narendra Modi."

Specifically, the Trinamool Congress emerged victorious in all four West Bengal Assembly by-polls. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced that her party managed to reclaim three seats formerly held by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and retained another previously held by the TMC.

"We've won three BJP-held seats and held our own, making it four out of four. I express my gratitude to our supporters," Banerjee told reporters in Kolkata. She dedicated the victory to the people, despite facing challenges from the BJP and other agencies.

Discussing the Raiganj by-election, Banerjee attributed their previous loss to the BJP and Congress's use of monetary influence. She praised Krishna Kalyani for reclaiming the seat. Similarly, Ranaghat Assembly by-poll saw TMC's Mukut Mani, a former BJP MLA, secure victory after switching parties.

In Bagdah, TMC fielded their youngest candidate, Madhuparna Thakur, who secured a hard-fought win. Banerjee emphasized Thakur's strong leadership and the local support she received, underscoring TMC's comprehensive success in the by-elections.
