Police Hunt for Shooter in Kentucky Interstate Attack
Kentucky police are searching for a suspect after seven people were wounded by gunfire on Interstate 75 near London. The shots came from a wooded area or overpass. Residents have been cautioned to stay indoors. The incident follows a recent school shooting in Georgia. No fatalities have been confirmed.
Kentucky police are conducting an intensive search for a suspect who opened fire on vehicles traveling along Interstate 75, wounding at least seven people. The incident occurred around 6 p.m., nine miles outside the town of London, close to the Daniel Boone National Forest.
London Mayor Randall Weddle reported on Facebook that seven individuals were injured, some of whom sustained gunshot wounds. He confirmed no fatalities so far and urged residents to keep their doors locked.
This attack comes on the heels of a tragic school shooting in Winder, Georgia, where two students and two teachers were killed. Kentucky State Police are working with federal agents to apprehend the suspect, who is considered armed and dangerous.
