The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will soon convene a panel of spokespersons drawn from its diverse constituents to deliver cohesive responses on pivotal issues, according to sources on Friday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi put forth this suggestion during a recent Parliament session meeting of NDA MPs.
Sources indicated that this arrangement could be in place by the upcoming Budget session.
When questioned about the possible appointment of an NDA convener—a role that existed previously but wasn't revived post-2014—sources affirmed that there are no current plans for such a position.
Despite falling short of a majority in the recent Lok Sabha elections, the BJP-led alliance comfortably surpassed the halfway mark. Many allies have been granted Cabinet posts, with the BJP emphasizing the government as an NDA-led entity.
