NIA Nails 2024 with 100% Conviction Rate: A Record Year in Anti-Terrorism Efforts
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) achieved a 100% conviction rate in 2024, arresting 210 accused and cracking 80 high-profile cases. Focused on Left Wing Extremism and Northeast insurgency, the agency made 69 and 15 arrests, respectively. Additionally, NIA nabbed 27 absconding criminals and attached assets worth Rs 19.57 crore.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a landmark year in 2024, achieving a 100% conviction rate while arresting 210 accused individuals. The agency made significant strides in tackling Left Wing Extremism and Northeast insurgency, which were the focus of 28 and 18 cases, respectively.
Convictions were secured against 68 individuals, and 408 were charge-sheeted, illustrating the agency's robust efforts in countering terrorism. NIA's operations also led to the attachment of properties worth Rs 19.57 crore, dismantling terrorist, gangster, and criminal networks.
Highlighting its relentless pursuit of fugitives, NIA captured 27 absconding criminals and worked tirelessly across various high-profile cases, securing extraditions and making critical arrests, including several linked to Khalistani and ISIS terrorism. The NIA also enhanced its collaboration with state police, training 1,678 officials in 2024.
