In a significant operation, Jodhpur police and the Narcotics Control Bureau today announced the seizure of 506 kg of cannabis, valued at Rs 80 lakh, leading to the arrest of two men.

The drug consignment, originating from Odisha, was intended for delivery in Jodhpur and further distribution to northern states including Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana to coincide with New Year celebrations.

Authorities intercepted the truck, cleverly concealing the narcotics, in Bhopalgarh near Jodhpur after a coordinated chase. The suspects, Naresh Bishnoi and Chainaram Garg, now face severe legal action.
