Naveen Patnaik, leader of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), has called on party members to remain committed to serving the people of Odisha ahead of the party's 28th foundation day on December 26. BJD announced a protest on January 6 in Bhubaneswar, targeting the rising cost of essential goods.
Patnaik urged supporters to speak out against the BJP government's policies, which he labeled 'anti-people,' citing high inflation's burden on those least able to shoulder it, the poor and middle class.
Characterizing the BJD as Odisha's advocate despite BJP's rule, Patnaik emphasized continuous efforts to champion public concerns, aligning with Biju Patnaik's founding vision of a dedicated party. Upcoming demonstrations will spotlight issues like the Polavaram Dam dispute.
