The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) unveiled its manifesto on Monday, pledging to reserve 33% of state government jobs for women as part of a strategic move ahead of the assembly elections.
Party leader Shibu Soren presented the manifesto, which emphasizes crucial areas such as agriculture, education, and residents' rights. The launch coincided with the last day of campaigning for the initial polling phase.
The manifesto not only promises job reservations for women but also aims to boost the local economy by offering significant loans to MSME entrepreneurs, waiving loans for smaller traders, and supporting agricultural initiatives.
Educational reforms are also prioritized, with plans to construct numerous schools and nursing colleges. The JMM is advocating for Jharkhand to reclaim Rs 1.36 lakh crore from the Centre and seeks approval for the 1932-Khatiyan-based domicile policy.
Further commitments include repealing controversial land laws and establishing a ministry dedicated to the welfare of the backward classes, all while preparing for the upcoming elections scheduled for November 13 and 20.
