In a shocking incident in Perumbavoor, Kerala, a 27-year-old woman was brutally murdered in broad daylight by a man from her native Assam, law enforcement reported on Monday.
The accused, Mahar Ali, who allegedly attempted to take his own life by stabbing himself and consuming poison, is currently recovering at a government medical college. Authorities intend to arrest him upon his recovery.
The victim, identified as Fareeda Beegum, was married and had recently returned from Assam following a quarrel with Ali. Police are investigating the exact motive behind the murder, though it is believed to be linked to their ongoing personal disputes.
