The Unfolding Saga of Baba Siddique's Murder Investigation

A local court has placed the alleged primary shooter Shivkumar Gautam and four others in police custody until November 19, suspected of involvement in the murder of NCP politician Baba Siddique. Authorities intend to probe financial transactions and firearm procurement aspects connected to the assassination.
The arrest was carried out through a joint effort by the Mumbai crime branch and Uttar Pradesh's special task force, apprehending Gautam and the others from UP. So far, 23 individuals have been apprehended in relation to the murder.
Police are pushing to determine how funds circulated among the accused and how the firearms were sourced. Anurag Kashyap, one of the arrested, allegedly provided Gautam with Rs 2 lakh. Meanwhile, the assailants shot Siddique in Mumbai's Bandra East, leading to his tragic demise.
