In a significant breakthrough, Jagdish Shriam Uikey, aged 35, was arrested after voluntarily presenting himself to the Nagpur Police. Accused of issuing numerous hoax bomb threats across the nation, he has been a major security concern.

Uikey, who hails from Arjuni Morgaon, Maharashtra, reportedly surrendered after being contacted by the city police. In the days leading up to October 26, over 300 flights faced hoax threats, majorly disseminated through social media platforms.

The arrest follows an email threat to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, raising alarm across railway stations. Uikey, once detained in 2021 for a similar offense, had shifted base to Delhi. Authorities continue their investigation into his motives and backgrounds.
