Two More Arrests in Odisha Gang Rape Case
Two more individuals have been arrested in Bhubaneswar concerning the gang rape of a 17-year-old girl, bringing the total to five arrests. The incident occurred on October 16 in a hotel. Those arrested include a female friend who allegedly facilitated the meeting with suspects, and video evidence was reportedly involved.

Two additional individuals were apprehended on Friday in Bhubaneswar, linked to the gang rape of a 17-year-old girl, as confirmed by the police. These fresh arrests bring the total number of detained individuals to five, including one female friend of the victim.
Initial arrests occurred on Thursday, where two men aged 19 and a 16-year-old girl were taken into custody. Further investigation identified the involvement of two others, aged 21 and 23, leading to their arrest as per Bhubaneswar DCP Pinak Mishra.
The victim reported being gang-raped on October 16 in a hotel. A case was lodged based on her complaint, revealing that the arrested girl was acquainted with both victim and suspects, facilitating their introduction. Allegedly, the suspects drugged the victim and videotaped the crime, using the footage for extortion attempts.
