In a significant security operation on Tuesday, authorities in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district arrested a suspected militant associate and seized 10 live grenades.
According to police, a checkpoint was set up based on intelligence regarding an impending terror attack, leading to the capture of Danish Bashir, a local resident of Dangerpora.
The suspect, intercepted while traveling on a two-wheeler, had the explosives hidden under the seat. Legal proceedings under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Explosives Act have commenced, and further arrests are expected as investigators continue their work.
