In a significant move by law enforcement in Samba district, Jammu and Kashmir, two landlords have been booked for failing to supply necessary tenant information for verification, an official disclosed.
This initiative came in response to concerns over anti-national elements reportedly residing under the guise of tenants and domestic help in local neighborhoods.
Police have registered two FIRs against the landlords, Rakesh Kumar and Dev Raj from Mandera, for not complying with the district magistrate's mandate. Residents are urged to cooperate with local police by providing complete tenant details to aid the verification process.
